Skid Car - Skid Control Course

This course will teach drivers to recognise the causes of a skid and learn how to master the control of front wheel, rear wheel or a four wheel skid.  The instructor can adjust the car's behaviour according to the skill of the driver,  and gradually increase the severity and type of skid as the driver's confidence and ability increases.  Aquaplaning and black ice conditions can also be simulated in a safe learning environment.

The course programme is tailor made to suit your requirements and can be incorporated into a full day of Advanced Driving which means that skid car sessions can be alternated with on the road practical training.

Courses usually take place at a site in Chertsey but we can also run courses at other locations throughout the country - providing that a suitable training surface can be provided. We can often hire suitable sites once we know the location of your drivers.

Typical prices are around £550 per day for the hire of the Skid Car plus the hire of  site - approximately £1700 per day at Chertsey. 

In a full one day hire,  up to six one hour sessions ( three people per session,  so 18 drivers in total ) could have an introductory course and experience front and rear wheel skids.

For more intensive and advanced training,  a reduction in the number of delegates to a maximum of 12, will give each driver more time under tuition.
