Emergency Service Blue Light Training Course

This two day course is designed to give emergency service drivers the knowledge and skills to ensure that they are able to safely drive an emergency vehicle under blue light conditions to the scene of an incident.  The course is based on the Police Driving Manual "Roadcraft".


Day One - Theory session covering
Introduction to driving emergency  service vehicles
The Law and exemptions
The Roadcraft System
Making progress safely


Practical  - Introduction to the vehicle and equipment
Assessment drives
Demonstration drives from instructor
Use of blues and twos
Course review and preparation of vehicle for next day's training.


Day Two
Practical session using blues and twos in a variety of driving environments
including rural urban and motorway situations.
In the afternoon of Day Two the delegates can sit a "mock" advanced test if the intent is for them to take the test at a later date which we can organise. 


Course review and questions
Course programmes and timings are flexible to fit in with your operational requirements and the relevant experience of the delegates.


Driver Reports
After the course each driver will receive a Certificate of Attendance and a full written report which will highlight any areas that can be improved.
