Out in 3 CPC Bus & Coach Fire Evacuation

Defensive Driver Training - image of bus on fire

"Out in 3" is an essential one day course for drivers and escorts of minibuses, coaches and buses.  This part theory - part practical CPC Approved course ( 7 hours) will equip delegates with both the theoretical knowledge and the practical know-how on how to safely evacuate a passenger carrying vehicle in the event of a fire.

The theory session topics include vehicle combustability, the fire triangle, fire extinguishers, heat, hazardous fumes and smoke and giving emergency assistance.

The practical session simulates an in vehicle fire using a smoke machine, and various typical emergency scenarios are acted out by the delegates.  These include dealing with elderly or disabled people, or children, prioritising passengers for evacuation, etc and each session is tailored to reflect the type of situation that your drivers could find themselves in.

There are more than 800 bus, coach or minibus fires in the UK every year.  Knowing what to do in an emergency and how to safely evacuate a vehicle is essential.

This course is also JAUPT accredited for CPC training - 7 hours.  Ideal course sizes are 8 delegates or more so that the practical exercise can be realistic.

Courses can be run in house in any part of the UK.

We also run regional open courses at regular intervals.  Please call us for details of the next open course in your area.
